The Communication and Social Research Laboratory (CorisLab), is the facility that provides computing hardware and software and technical-informatics and statistical-methodological support services for scientific research and departmental teaching.
CorisLab's hardware and software equipment can be used for:
Data processing related to: research of national (PRIN) and international interest; research financed by the Department of Communication and Social Research and by public bodies and/or other contracted Departments; research commissioned on behalf of third parties; dissertations; theses of post-graduate courses;
Workshop-based exercises/lessons as part of the teaching activities of lecturers and researchers;
Examination tests, where the use of PCs is involved;
User training courses organised by CorisLab (data analysis workshops and empirical research seminars).
Users currently have 45 networked workstations, printers, scanners and software for the statistical analysis of textual and numerical data.
Activities
Computer and statistical-methodological consultancy to students and lecturers;
Organisation of training courses on software implemented in the laboratory facility;
Management of the local network and the corresponding subnet connected to the RSA of the via Salaria site for use by the Department of Communication and Social Research;
Management of local networks and corresponding sub-networks of other Departments at the via Salaria site, if provided for by specific agreements resolved by the Department of Communication and Social Research Council;
Technical support to the teaching and technical-administrative staff of the Department of Communication and Social Research;
Technical support to the teaching and technical-administrative staff of other Departments of the via Salaria site, if provided for by specific agreements resolved by the Department of Communication and Social Research Council.
